Home Ground started 2021 with our first programme, Project Tahi.
At Home Ground we work in partnership with artists, participants and funders to bring about social change through using creativity and artistic expression.
Thank you to our artists, Christine Fagan, Hazel, William Brandt, Ruby Hinepunui Solly and Anna Wooles, who made our three week project so meaningful and guided us through a creative journey. We made a giant Home Ground lei, a photo exhibition, created visual art that represented us as hero's of our own story, and celebrated the wisdom of our life experiences.
We are so grateful to have our new home at Pasifika Hub, Lower Hutt. We couldn't ask for a more practical, beautiful and friendly space to run our workshops from. True Manaakitanga in action!
To get a feel for how the workshops look and for some of the art forms we explored during Project Tahi 2021 watch the video below.
Thank you to Creative New Zealand for funding Project Tahi, Rua, Toru 2021 and our recent Artist Training Hui.
This enables us to run our programmes, spend time together developing and growing our creative practice, and strengthen the community we have created.
