Project Rua 2021

Project Rua in Arohata Prison is the second of the Home Ground initiatives this year. We will provide a series of creativity and well-being workshops for women in Arohata Prison.

Participants get the opportunity to tap into their specific creative talents, reflect upon what their life experience can offer, while creating a performance piece for the 2021 Matariki Concert.

Our amazing artists include William Brandt and Jo Randerson on storytelling through words, Moana Leota on music and all it's magic, Aimee Martin on Sounds and how they shape our stories, Dan James with visuals and projection, Ruby Hinepunui Solly with Taonga Puoro and Tupe Lualua on the power of our bodies and their movement!

We start Project Rua on June 14th, and work on the performance piece over the following three weeks. This piece will be performed at the Matariki Concert at Arohata Prison, in Tawa, on June 30th and July 1st.

Get your tickets online from Zonta Mana. Tickets are $25 and bookings are essential, please email zontamana@gmail.com to book your tickets now.

We look forward to celebrating Matariki with you!
