Home Ground Matariki project in Newtown!

Home Ground is running another 3 day workshop to soak up the energy, renewal and reflection of Matariki! Please share with friends and whānau!

​Our workshops are an opportunity for wāhine to try out different art forms with different artists, and other women. Participants will learn more about themselves and the creative process. Home Ground is a creativity and wellbeing programme for women who are in the justice system. Each programme uses creative arts practice, such as photography, creative writing, movement and music, as a non-threatening, strengths-based approach to self-empowerment, community connectedness and wellbeing. WHERE Newtown Park Apartments, Mansfield Street, Newtown, Wellington WHEN The project starts on Tuesday 2nd July, 10:00am. We work from 10:00-2:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The project finishes at 2:30pm, on Thursday 4th July 2024. WHO There are spaces available for 10 women. The project is facilitated by the Home Ground team. There will be guest artists and peer mentors in the space as well. This project has been generously supported by the Women's Strategy Team, Department of Corrections.
