Newtown community Creative Adventure workshop coming up!
Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th February, 10am-2:30pm 2025
Our workshops are an opportunity for wāhine to try out different art forms with different artists, and other women. Participants will learn more about themselves and the creative process. Home Ground is a creativity and wellbeing programme for women who are in the justice system. Each programme uses creative arts practice, such as photography, creative writing, movement and music, as a non-threatening, strengths-based approach to self-empowerment, community connectedness and wellbeing. Newtown Park Apartments, 320 Mansfield Street, Newtown, Wellington WHEN The project starts on Tuesday 25th Feb, 10am. We work from 10am -2:30pm every day The project finishes at 2:30pm, on Thursday 27th Feb 2025 WHO There are spaces available for 10 women. The project is facilitated by the Home Ground team. There will be guest artists and peer mentors in the space as well. For more info:
